For my 100 day challenge (#The100DayProject) on Instagram, which ran from April 1, 2019 to July 10, 2019, I decided to do a large mixed media piece titled “100 Things to do in Paris”. It included a graphite drawing of the Venus de Milo sculpture in the Louvre surrounded by 99 macarons. Each day, I drew a different macaron in colored pencil. Some were actual flavors and others were pure fantasy. One mysteriously went missing, but the original plan was to include only 99, so it all worked out :-). Here’s the final work.
