MURAL for EVERETT & ELAINE BAKERY
This project was near and dear to my heart since I LOVE the delicious pastries that Everett & Elaine make. They asked me to produce a mural for their first brick-and-mortar store, opening in the much anticipated Legacy Food Hall in Plano, Texas in December, 2017.
Here's the space in the construction phase. Yang Wu and Kevin Lampman, the owners, had a wonderful vision for their space. They wanted a chic, upscale vibe like bakeries they had visited in the Hamptons. That vision is totally consistent with the quality of their pastries.
This is a mock-up of the space, with my original proposal for the feature wall.
A mock-up of the opposite wall featuring my custom chalkboard designs.
As with all commissions, space, budget, and time are vital factors. Kevin and Yang decided to go with the mural to begin with. They requested a slight modification - remove the blackberry botanical elements and circular logo at the top border and replace them with a clean, straight border.
This was the final mock-up that the owners gave the green light for.
Ta-Da! Here's the mural in place. I was thrilled to be invited to the friends and family soft opening and lucky to find a second when they weren't swamped to pose for a photo with the owners.
Everett & Elaine is officially open at Legacy Food Hall in Plano. Please do yourself a favor and go try some of their amazing baked goods!
